Irish guy (31), free time, open to trips
Hi -- am thinking of some bike trips between now and mid-2017... Left my job, have savings, and have motorbike (and bicycle) touring experience. Also fairly handy with bikes / engines.
Want to do as much as possible for a while, whether one long trip, or several shorter. Love camping / being close to nature, and avoiding motorways. Don't need a lot of comforts and like the idea of not relying on civilization, but not too stubborn to hotel it if miserable either!
Currently riding a Tiger 800, which toured around Ireland, Scotland, Spain x 2, France x 2, Morocco...
Just putting the feelers out there, to see who bites...

Sounds like some trip! What planning did you put into it?
I was in Morocco last year on the bike, what a country, and it's just the tip of Africa.
Your trip is too soon for me as I'm only finishing up work then!

Hi Brian,
Are you guys en route? Where about are you? In Dakar and heading East...finding it hard going solo, so would love some company if your around. Very easy going and happy to camp/hotel, on a Xt Tenere and just switching to off road tyres now....
Think you will be behind me, but could wait for a bit...let me know!
Cheers,
Will

Hi, sounds like you are up to some adventures Around Mai 2017 I wanna start riding slowly towards Russia across Italy, Greece, Croatia and so on. I have something like a rough plan but I'm open for any surprises wherever I get stranded. I am a relaxed 31 years old rider sitting on a Africa Twin.
If you'd have time you could join me for a while?
Cheers
Ken

Hello
I'm Helen. I'm planning to visit SE Asia from November and I can't seem to get excited about travelling around it by any other means than by motorbike! I've looked at cycling but the ready made tours are just too expensive. I'm not keen on typical backpacking, feel a bit old for that now! (35)
I leave my job in a couple of weeks and I have savings to hopefully allow travel until around February.
I love to read up on places before travelling but really planning too much in advance is just not my thing.
I plan to fly into either thailand or vietnam and buy a motorbike, strap on my bags and take off.
I'm not sure if that's the kind of adventure you would be after but please get in contact if you have similar ideas.
All the best,
Helen

Hello,
I'm a bit late to the party here. However, I am planning a trip travelling from Accra (Ghana) to London over a 2/3/4 month period, starting from Feb 2017 (I’m reasonable flexible with dates). I plan to stick largely to the coast with a mix of camping and cheap hotels and have a rough plan I can share if you want more detail.
I’m new to biking but have learnt whilst living in Ghana so can handle most terrain (and the route looks like it would have a good mix of everything).
Cheers

Join me in Myanmar
Hey man,
Since March 15 I am on my way from the Netherlands to Australia by electric car. I am doing this to create awareness for sustainability and e-mobility. My website offers people the opportunity to support me with a meal, place to sleep or energy for the car. By these people also the route is decided, I travel from plug to plug. Because of this I don't drive in a direct line to the land down under but zigzag my way around the world. When I left in March my followers sent me to Italy, than via Scandinavia to Russia and from Moscow I drove to Turkey via the Baltics, Ukraine and Bulgaria. Soon I will be reaching Iran and will ship to Dubai, from there I will go to India.
In January of Februari (for this trip it's impossible to make a planning) I will cross Myanmar to Thailand. Im hoping to find someone who could share costs and adventure with me and maybe this is something for you?
Please contact me if you are interested and see my website plugmeinproject.com for more information about what I am doing.

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
