July - Oktober 2021 - Slowakia, Rumenia, Hungary - Balkans - Greece -Turkey - Georgia
Hi fellows!
I am doing a three to six months road trip with my Honda CB 500 x. Most of the time I will be on the Road and sometimes dipping out for some more fun on easy offroad trails. Including TET.
Here is my roadplan, I am allways looking forward to meet fellow riders and locals.
Germany - done
Austria - done
Slowakia - higher and lower Tatras - End of July
Romania - Running down the Carpathians - End of July to early mid August
Hungary - going straight to Budapest - Mid of August
Greece - Mid to end of August
Turkey - End of August to September
Georgia - September to tbd
...
Right now it would be perfect to find someone to ride parts of the TET in Romania with.
Let me know if you want to meet and share a ride or a !

Hi selecw,
It's strange, you should find me by the nickname even so my profile is private.
Would be cool to share part of the trip. Do you already have a ruff route in mind?
Best,
Sören

i am going to the HUBB event in Romania and then driving down the West and South of Turkey. If I can get into Iran I will. If not, I will go to Georgia and Armenia and then Ukraine.
Because of COVID I am not planning too much.

I was planning to travel to Pakistan, but Iran is not issuing tourist visa's...
So now planning on slowly crossing beautifull Turkey to Iranian consulate in Erzurum. If no visa by then, I travel to Georgia en perhaps Azerbeidjan , proceeding to Ukraine bij ferry from Georgia tot bypass Russia.
Starting from central Europa beginning of september.
Perhaps we meet on the road somewhere?
Riding an Africa Twin 750
cheers,

I am in Sarajevo now. I will be heading across Turkey to Armenia and Georgia at the beginning of September.
My plan is to travel down the West coast of Turkey and then the South. Let me know if you want to meet up.

I'll probably skip the south due to weather conditions. My plan right now is to cross middle turkey until center and than continue on the norther mountain chain to Georgia.
Around 10th of September I should be in Istanbul.

Tbilisi - looking for a bike
I've just arrived in Tbilisi and am looking for a bike. I was hoping to find one here but wondering if Adventure bike options are limited (something like the CB500X would be perfect.) Does anyone have experience buying in this part of the world? Maybe best to hop over to Istanbul or Budapest and look there?
Thanks! Otherwise I will be riding around this part of the world as soon as I find a bike, most likely smaller (two-week) trips with Georgia as a home base

Ask locally, starting with one or another of the rental companies--I liked the guys at mototravel ( https://mototraveltbilisi.com), but there are others. I'm under the impression that Georgia is the wrong place to be looking for this sort of bike, but I'm willing to be proven wrong about that.
