Hi Drewsome,
Just saw your Visitor Message (from Dec 2011) the other day. Have sent a reply.
I am leaving Australia on 16th May. Will be in Islamabad in early June. Travelling up KKH late June and entering China in early July. Then on to KYR, TAJ, UZB, TKM and Iran.
Might see you on the road somewhere.
Cheers,
Brian

Pakistan Bikers Club teams would be on the KKH this summer and you can join them. All chapters of PBC would be glad to facilitate your trip. When in Lahore give me a call and we might arrange a meeting with the local bikers over a cup of tea.
Last year a group of European members of HU did the same sharing cost while crossing China and might be able to advise you with experience.
Cheers

Those dates look good for me. I suspect a few may drop out but 10 people would get costs down.
I'm still unsure about Iran so I will have to make decision soon or miss the boat.

Hoping to catch up with the group leaving on the 10th Sep.
I've been looking at the plan and am still sitting on the fence at moment whether to go Bam-Quetta, or sail across the Caspian and meet at Chinese border. Problem is time. Not enough to get there for the 10th Sep.
It looks like I cant make it there until end of September give or take. I'm just testing the water to see if anyone else would be interested sharing guide costs etc for the KKH around this time?
I could probably make the 10th but too much fast riding across too far would spoil the trip I reckon.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
