Hey guys - I'm currently part of a group of 9 people who have gotten together to do this crossing in the last week of September
If you are interested, I could copy you into our email trail as we have nearly finalised our plans and I'm sure input from you would be welcome too?

Hi, MarcoLars!
My travel speed is the same as your. With upgrading from 125 to 177 cc I can cover steep hills without any doubts at 80 km/h. So, I think we will be at the same rhythm. Let us find together in FB to discuss Pakistan route: https://www.facebook.com/a.borkhovych
Kind regards, everespa
Hi, 7days1shower. Thank you for contact, I will write a letter to you!

We are a group planing to go Georgia (9.7.), Armenia (11.7.), Iran (!3.7.), Turkmenistan (20.7), Uzbekistan (24.7.), Tadjikistan (31.7.) (Pamir Highway), Kyrgyzstan (10.8), China (12.8.) (Karakorum Highway), Pakistan(16.8), India(22.8).
We still looking for travel companions to keep costs for guides etc. low. I guess we have visas and permits well covered but we need to start the application process this months.
So If you want to drive the nicest parts of the silk road + Parmir Highway + Karakorum Highway or part of it this is the time. You never know when the next land slide blocks the Karakorum Highway for years to come.
The group current consists of trucks and cars only but everybody is welcome.

I have contacted 7days1shower, and unfortunately their group is already full.
So, MarcoLars, wee need to go forward with organizing another group to cross China. If someone else is looking for the same route - welcome.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
