London to mongolia (and on) starting april

Hello

Im just seeing if anyone is interested in meeting up for some or all of this trip. I leave london around the 1st of april and spending a week travelling in europe with my dad. Before heading east towards Russia.

Hitting up the stans and hoping to meet a friend in (eastern) kazakhstan after the other stans around the start of june and then on.

Im planning to ship my bike from mongolia to Canada/america. Im thinking vancouver.
Then working my way down towards south america..

So looking to see if anyone is up for meeting for some or all of this trip?
im very easy and laid back, Willing to help with any problems, fairly mechanically minded.

Riding a tenere which I have just bought so will be saving the pennies with camping and hostelling.

Reply on here or message me if your interested

Small bit about me... 25, Male carpenter from London. I have previous experience of travelling to mongolia unfortunately not seeing much due to a crash in 2013. Determined this time to get there and have a good look around.

(dependant on russian Visa being granted)

Traveling east

Hi I am also heading in that direction but am hoping to leave on the 22 march just waiting for Russian visa?? I will be heading towards Turkey then Georgia and into Russia. Don't have an exact time schedule but do know I have to be in and out of Kazakhstan in 15 days before 15 July. then on to Mongolia and eventually South Korea to ship the bike on, hopefully Aus.

Happy to meet you as and when are paths are close and travel together. I'm on BMW 1200gsa and will also be doing lots of camping.

Sorry I don't have any quotes but just remember reading Graham Fields first book that he was advised to get a ferry from Vladivostok to South Korea because there are better transport links. I have Chatted to Moto freight several times and they have just given a rough quote to budget about £2000 every time I come to water (ie Korea to Aus). I'm not on a time scale or a specific route so they cant quote me until I give them some dates.

I know this does not help but my route is very flexible and dependant on visas?

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
