I would like to hear more aout your MExico trip your planning. I have a bunch of time off around Feb of 04 and seems like something fun to do. I rode baja for a few weeks this last April and want to get back down that way. So if your still planing the trip let me know. Maybe we can work something out. Rob

Planning? You mean I'm supposed to plan this trip? Well, I was planning to start off in McAllen Tx because that's where my parents stay for the winter. Then I head south. When I come to a fork in the road, I take it.
I know that sounds flip, but my planning consists of packing properly, and picking a direction. Works for me, but your results may vary. Maybe that's why I only made it to Guatemala last year, instead of Panama.

Well packing right always tends to work for me also. Sounds like it would be a hell of a trip. I am still interested, and would like to make it to Panama for sure. What bike do you plan on riding down? And when are you planing on leaving or entering Mexico? IF you want to talk more about maybe tripping together, email me at link above

RTW, I am no closer to getting my "stuff" together for this winter. Several things are all coming together to forstall this winter's traveling. Hopefully, I will resolve this stuff successfully. My timetable consists of not leaving until after my SO's birthday, the 25th of January. I can get to Mcallen in two days without straining.
Oh, yeah, I ride a KLR. It's still in good shape from last winter, with new tkc-80 tires. I don't think it will need anything for this trip.
My SO says I can travel south as cheap as I can stay home, so it looks like a go. I'll hollar closer to kickoff.
