Hi, Greg.... am located in Northern California and thinking about doing a trip down to Southern Mexico, but would also be game for Guatemala. FYI, I'm currently retired, and riding a '99 BMW R1100RT.
Is 3 weeks enough time for a trip like that, and would you be available for a longer trip or a later (March-April) departure? Thanks!
Best Regards,
-Mat DelFave

Hook up for a beer?
My wife and I are leaving Phoenix on Jan 26th and will be making our way down the Pacific side as far as Playa Azul. If you're anywhere near this area during this time drop a post. We'd love to hook up for a somewhere along the way and swap tales. We'll be two-up on my DL650 and it's her first time on anything longer than a day trip so a friendly word of encouragment will be much appreciated
Cheers

Mexico
Hey guys, I'm also looking to someone to ride with in Mexico. I can't leave until April 1st. What are your current plans? I have traveled in Baja and NW mainland. Haven't decided yet which route to take this year.

Greg,
You guys have a great trip and try to stay in touch. I'm sure that you know to cross the border early in the moring and get well past the border on the first day. If you decide to come back through Baja be sure and contact me in San Diego.

Greg,
Did you use a GPS on your last trip and are the maps any good? Finding good maps in Mexico can be a challenge.
Thanks
