Mongolia - China- India
Heeello maay Frrriend,
we are looky looky for a possibility to cross china to india from Ulaan Bator/Mongolia. Is anybody out there who plans this trip, too?
Our idea is to plan the trip with a group of vehicles to save the fee for the guide etc. in china.
We plan this trip round about june/july 2014.
We ride both a BMW R 1200 GS
This is not a fix plan but we think about it.
Interested?

Hi
Interested about the costs. Originally was thinking entering to Laos, cause heard that there will be needed escort to myanmar too. Theres no route to south-east asia without crossing Myanmar or China again. If u have some information for costs, that will help me a bit. Im planning to buy my gs in a month. If the trip is too expensive, ill try to avoid China and looking change to across Myanmar.
Cheers
Harri

Hi!
I`ll do some little trips in winter time south-europe and maybe to Morocco. Probably leaving app jan-feb-mar. Planning Turkey-Iran-stans-Mong-China-south-east asia. Problem seems to be that u have to ship your bike or do the china and pay. Myanmar seems to be near hard to go place with your own vehicle (maybe more harder than China). Looking chance to ship the bike from India to Thailand or Vietnam. One option is go to Vladivostok and ship it from there. First i was planning to do go to asia via north-africa, but i dont know is it wise to try pass some countries there right now. Turkey and Iran should be allright. Some China agencies have a organized trips from Mong or Kyrgystan to Laos and thats best route for me. Would like to hear more of your plans.
Cheers
Harri

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
