Hi Andy,
that´d be a tight schedule for me.
I´d be still happy to meet up when ever paths and time tables fit, but 16/17th could maybe be my earliest departure from Tarifa.
My plan is to leave northern Germany mid/end of the 1st week of October (past holiday) and I´ll drive at least a week to arrive in Tarifa (Pyrenees detour planned), then I´ll need to sort some things there (+3-4 days) and would then cross over to Morocco, as soon as I´ll have a negative C19 test result (+1-2 days, weekends no tests in Algeciras, afaik) to enter the ferry. For the leg down to Midelt, I´d like to spare a few days, too (Chef, Taounate, Fez) just to enjoy the scenery.
Just let us keep in touch via WhatsApp (send # via personal message here, if still interested) and we´ll exchange locations once in a while. Maybe I´ll be able to catch up and we´ll have a fresh after a dusty day.
Kind regards

That’s great. Exchange on What’s App and if our path cross then a drink would be welcome!

Plans now clear. Solo to Marrakech then looking for some company, leaving Marrakech on 14th October and heading to Erfoud. Happy to exchange contact details.

As I´m planning my loop clockwise (Tanger > Fez > Merzouga > Marrakesch > Agadir) , we´ll probably run into each other in the south west or else. I´ll sent my contact details as soon as I´ll hit moroccoan soil and be able to make more certain predictions.
Enjoy your ride.

I'm here until December.
There is an Overlander event being held on the 22nd October out in the desert. If your near Zagora/Merzouga at the time it will be good fun.
PM me for details

Would be great to meet and exchange some tales. As soon as I can name certain dates, I´ll get in touch.
(There are lots of events coming up, expecting traffic, unfortunately I´ll be a little late for the spin off of the Santana Trophy, 8th-14th Oct, 1800km loop to Erg Cheggi)

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
