NZ in January, Australia and Asia
Hey everyone
I'm spending January - March traveling around NZ North and South Islands, mainly by motorbike and wondering if anyone is planning something similar and wants to meet up along the way.
Landing in Auckland 3rd January, plan to pick bike up in Napier before travelling anti clockwise around N Island, crossing into S and working way down west coast and back up east cost.
Be great to have some company.
Flying out of Auckland mid March and onto Australia and spending 1 - 2 months working way up east coast from Melbourne to Darwin. Then flying out of Darwin into Singapore and backpacking around Asia. No im not loaded with cash, been saving for years and this is a once in a lifetime thing for me.
Let me know if you're interested.
Cheers
Alex

Acommodation / garage Newcastle NSW
Hi BeuBeu, Andventurer and anyone else travelling New South Wales.
Like TwoBob I have a garage with tools and a spare room that is available for anyone who is travelling. I'm on the shores of Lake Macquarie about 20km south of Newcastle. PM if I can help out - I,ve just returned from six months through Russia and Europe and am keen to repay all the hospitality and friendship I received during my trip.

traveling Oz and NZ
Hi,
I'm planning a similar motorcycle trip and dates are up in the air. NZ sometime in either Nov/Dec 2013 or Jan 2014 (will also be in Napier visiting a friend), and then Oz after that (I'm here now), hopefully up to Darwin and then Asia. Keep in touch as I'd love to meet up with other travelers.

Hey Elisa,
If you get to NZ and are passing through Wellington get in touch, I'd be happy to show you around. I ride a dual sport TTR250.
I'll be riding it to the UK in feb next year, making my way to Darwin then onto Asia as well. I've just come back from a two month motorbike trip to Vietnam so if you plan on going there I'm more than happy to give you some pointers (the north is EPIC on a bike!!!)
Anyway, safe travels
Cheers

Haha, I didn't realize I'd done that How did I come across such an old threat to begin with?!
Well, maybe I'll see you guys there! Trying to find a bike to borrow in NZ, since shipping mine there from Oz doesn't make much sense. Have been looking into short term bike 'swaps'.
Best-
Elisa

I'll be in Dunedin at the end of Jan '14 & then with family in Queenstown. My daughter and I have shared the cost of a KL250H so I hope to be exploring the trails in that region for a week. Get in touch if you're in the area

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
