Oct 16 Trip South- to Northamerica
Hi There,
i want to planning a Motorcycle Trip across America.
From October i have 6 Month time for traveling.
I have no concrete Plans about the Trip, from North to South or from South to North.
In Brasil i have read it is easy to buy a motorcycle for foreigners, you get no stamps in your Passport that you are export a bike.
USA is difficult to buy a bike as a foreigner, insurance, etc. Canada make not big problems that is an Option.
I ride a 1988er Africa Twin, it is also possible to shipped my Bike to America..
Are there guys who plans a similar Trip? I am from Bremen, Germany, 54 years old.
best regards
Jürgen

For trip
Hi Jurgen,
I sent this message to your email address but not sure if you received it back in April.
-----------------------------------------------
Thanks for reaching me out about trip. We are Turkish citizens and we do live in the USA with my wife.
Our plan is to leave from Atlanta,GA on the first week of July to go to Alaska. We will be passing from US to Mexico towards end of the August.
We are thinking to take Stahlratte ( Stahlratte) for passing from Panama to Colombia and their last departure is mid November. This will give us 2,5 months from September through mid of November to explore Mexico and Central America.
We are estimating about 4 to 5 months to explore South America as well.
There are also couple bikers that I already contacted for this trip. We will try to meet with them at some places and ride together some parts of the trip.
We definitely meet you and ride together.
All the best,
Onur

Hi Jürgen, hi Frieder
I just saw that we are planning a similar. My plan is to start in October 2017 from Colombia going south. I'm living near Mannheim in Germany. Perhaps we can share plans.
Greetings
Johannes
