Hi all! This is a relatively "tame" trip compared to what most here are doing, but the timing (spring) should be perfect for good weather and great views.
Looking for another rider or multiple, to come along on this trip- found out the hard way, long rides are just much, much better with company. Go a little crazy. Start talking to the helmet for hours as the miles roll by...
Timing and destination is flexible, somewhere from mid-April to mid-May, through much of Utah. Currently, my plan is to pick about 6 major stops, and camp/stay at each for about 2-3 days while exploring the nearby area via road/hike. Then, on to the next. 2-3weeks time, total.
My wife and I completed a 16,000 mile, 3 month trip around the US last year, so we aren't entirely new to this, though certainly not veterans. We are happy to join up with any skill/experience levels. We'd love to learn from others, or pass on what little we have learned so far, to others
We do travel cheap- camping, couchsurfing (best option!), parking on friendly people's lawns when available...AirBnB in emergencies. I probably don't have to mention this here, ha, but we won't be doing hotels/etc if we can help it.
If this trip sounds interesting to anyone, please let me know, really hoping to find others to travel with! We have lots of reviews on couchsurfing, and you can dig through our old trip files too, if you'd like to check on who we are/etc
