Pamir Highway

Hello everyone,

I am travelling the Pamir Highway on my ???? starting the end of July in Dushanbe. If someone is doing the same journey at that time, would be great to meet.

See you
Bruno

I did it last year, my greatest adventure! You may be lucky going to the Green House Hostel: https://maps.app.goo.gl/GqdVTqioMQia2p5VA . When I was there in June people were leaving to or returning from the pamir highway almost daily. Maybe you can join one of them

They also help with the permit and make copies of it.

Could you please advise similar kind of place (moto travelers hub) in Khorug?

I'll be doing counter clockwise circle in Tajikistan late August. Kyzyl-Art>Bartang gorge>Khorug>Ishkashim>South-East corner>Murgab>Kyzyl-Art. it would be great to find someone willng to visit those deserted territories.

Unfortunately not, I'm not aware of such a place there. We stayed in the Welcome Inn when we passed through, it's a hostel, but was empty at that time: https://maps.app.goo.gl/p3ZR7wqwstBcHoM38

Pamir Lodge could be a nice try to meet other overlanders in Khorog.

? For those who have already done Pamir

Did anyone happen to buy a bike in Osh or Bishkek? Just wondering a bit more about the logistics of paperwork etc. (if I can even find a bike here to buy) I have been told I will not be able to get the ownership documents put in my name, so I assume I’ll need a poder.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
