Arrive in S.A. sometime in November
I will be entering Mexico in the middle of September, the main idea is to be on the South American continent in the month of November so to have enough time to make it to Ushusia and back to Columbia in order to catch sailboat back to Panama by May.
I have rode to Panama before so main emphasis is on south America but can do stops in C.A. as long as arriving in S.A. by November, last time it only took me one month to get to Panama. (so I guess if someone is entering Mexico as late as mid Oct and just plans on going straight to Panama then we could travel together )
Anybody have sorta similar plans !
I have an equipped KLR and I guess I will take full camping gear. I am 64 in good shape and get along with almost everybody.

Hi Aaron,
I was wondering if you are still on target for an August 25th departure? When are you crossing into Mexico? I'm heading south in early September from Austin, Texas. I'm 44, fit, experienced traveler in Latin America, speak Spanish and riding a DR650. I'm interested in riding with like minded folks for some or all the way. I have a plan, but not an itenerary. The plan is to take my time. If anyone is heading the same way about the same time, I'd be interested in talking.
I've started a website that has my loose plan and gear list. I'd love to hear your feedback on the packing list. THE ADVENTURE BEGINS.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
