Seeking a companion to ride in South America
Hi there,
In September 2019 I will start riding in South America. It is scheduled to start from Buenos Aires, go south to Tierra del Fuego and then north via Chile. My plan is to ride in all countries of South America with the possible exception of Venezuela. I expect this project to take approximately a year or so.
I live in Greece and my bike is a Honda XLV1000A (Varadero).
If anyone is interested joining me in the entire (or any part of) the trip, please reply to this post.

Hi Mike,
Are you looking for another rider(s) with their own bike, or someone to ride pillion with you? Julie

Hi Julie,
I am looking for another biker with his/her own bike. My pillion seat will be fully loaded.

By air, as I was adviced by all moving companies. It's less trouble than shipping it by the sea.

Where are you at now?
I’m in Arica, north Chile, planning to cross into Peru somehow. I’m Swedish with a Chilean bike so it’s unclear how that will work at the Arica border. Otherwise I’m looking to go through Bolivia and up to cobacabana.

I’m Interested.....
I live in Alaska and recently retired. I’m also interested in traveling through South America next winter on my motorcycle, but can’t start until late October 2019. Definitely don’t want to do this trip alone and hoping to hook up with other people.

Hi SchlackerRat
Starting late October from Alaska means you will be riding all winter in the northern hemisphere. And when you get to the southern hemisphere it will be winter there. Unless you plan to ship the bike instead of riding south.

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
