Selfdrive China: Mongolia - Laos 27 Days 29 Aug - 24 Sept 2017

Hello,
Who likes to travel with us through China. Cost from guide will so be reduced and we can change the guide driving with us over the cars. We would like to drive with maximum 4 cars, but if we are only 2 it is ok too.
We already planned this trip before, but cancelled it because now you need also for Thailand a guide, permits, ect. and the hammer was that they don’t allow campers anymore into the country.(a camper seem to be every vehicule where you can sleep in).
Now we decided not letting the Thai spoiling our whole trip, so we don’t go into Thailand with the car, maybe later from Laos or Cambodia with backpack to some areas. For the continue of the travel we trust that there will come solutions to ship from Cambodia to Maleysia, Singapur or Indonesia. These options are now already explored on different forums.
We choose for the chinese agency NAVO Tours to organise the permits and the guide for China. They answer fast on emails, have a lot of expierence, good recommandations from other travellers, fare price and good conditions for cancelations. We have extended their standard tour with 3 days, so we don’t drive too long distances and added some other interesting points. So we go in 27 days from Mongolia to Laos, from 29th of August till 24th of September 2017. Of course we will see: the Great Wall, Peking, Pingyao, Terrakotta Army, Chengdu, Shangrila, (Tibet not, but we make a smaller tour on the Tibetan Plateau), etnic cultures in the South. If you like I can send you the whole route including distances.
Costs per car (depending on exchange rates) based on 2 persons per car:
1 car : € 6638,- , 2 cars : € 4643,- , 3 cars : €3807,- , 4 cars : €3514,-
We travel with a Toyota Landcruiser with cabin.

We would like to hear from you,
Klaas and Willi

Shipping further from Cambodia

Hi folks,
Shipping from Cambodia is very well possible.
These days I had contact with Sue White and she is shipping her Toyota Landcruiser from Cambodia to Indonesia in a container. She send me details about the agencies, quote, etc. If someone is interessted I can mail it to you.
Most important: you worldtravel does not have to end because you can't or don't want to enter Thailand. There are options to shipp from Cambodia! Also to other destinations.
So who had doubts to travel through China to SE Asia: you don't get stuck.
Join us on our crossing through China from Mongolia to Laos, September 2017
Cheers,
Klaas

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
