I did this a couple of years back, but from the UK. You will love it, In May the weather should be fairly good, just be careful if up in the mountains in Sicily, when wet the road are treacherous. Enjoy the trip.

Italy/Sicily in May 2010
Hi, there seems to be a few people going to Sicily in May!
I'm off to Sicily, then Sardinia & Corsica.
The plan is to go from Calais on 2nd May via Belgium, Germany (Nurburgring), Innsbruck, Brescia for the 'Mille Miglia'. Pompei by the 11/12/13 into Sicily at Messina on about 15/16 then the other Islands over the next 10 days or so.
I'd be happy for a chat or drink with anyone on route.

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
