South Africa to Europe
Hi guys, in 2014 I did the West Coast of Africa from London to Cape Town.
Now I am planning to do the East coast from South Africa back up to Europe leaving early April 2016, to reach Europe in Summer.
Any one keen to travel along or meet up along the way ?

Hi
I'm planning a similar trip in 2016/2017. My problem is reaching Europe from North Africa. How are you planning to cross the Med?
Travelling the East coast up to Sudan or Egypt is not a big issue as the road are reasonable. We travelled from Riyadh to Cape Town in 2011 without any problems. Now I want to head for Europe from CT.

Hi crwaterhouse,
My girlfriend and I are also planning a Cape Town to Europe trip leaving early next year, probably around March/April.
We're doing Cape Town to Amsterdam via East Africa...
Keep us posted, would be great to meet up along the way
Cheers

Hi guys, it would be great to meet up & maybe travel with as many people along the way as possible.
As for crossing to Europe, I have 2 ways ways the moment and both involve ships. But as we know things change daily from day to day, so something else might pop up by next year.
In Port Said there is talk of a vehicle ferry that crosses but without passengers, you can also approach container ships/companies and negotiate crossing for bikes and if lucky passengers. I know of a few guys that have crossed from Egypt to Europe easily by container ship.
As for me personally, I am going to Israel as I would love to see the country & have friends there. I will then get a container ship from Israel to Europe and from what I have heard it is easier than travelling from Egypt.
