Stuck in Luang Namtha, Laos - Anyone Want a Beer?
Hi
While waiting for a part to arrive I will be partaking of a few s.
If anyone is interested and going past, please drop in.
I am staying at the Dokchampa Hotel, but do my drinking next door at the Forest Retreat.
It is nice to break down in a cheap country, but then shipping here is a tad harder to even that up
Cheers

A beautiful place to get stranded - enjoy your break!
Better than waiting for parts in Viang Veng i guess - this would cause soo much headache
Enjoy Laos - hope you find some people to

Mate you are having some issues??
Anyway friends of mine those I mentioned who were refused entry to China, and you got in without a issue from Kyrgystan? have also arrived in Luang Namtha (they detoured to Mongolia and entered from Ehrenhot)
they are in Zuela Guest House at the moment. Opposite the night markets.
Cheers

Hi m8
If they are the people in the BIG trucks, then yes I met them in Ulan Batar and also the swiss couple again right here, but they know nothing about HU, but may do after I told them
I also met a couple of chaps in a LC who also came down through China with them, they have al gone now
Cheers for the ideas though, assuming I picked the right ones ?

G'day m8, ow ya goin?
I am waiting on a starter solenoid Assy, I have two coming in from two different locations, one was totally free, from the VSRI forum, the other was expensive from the local Suzuki dealer. Average cost is good
I have been involved in solving the bike issue, ordering parts from many sources, at different times of the day and night, then cancelling the ones I know won't reach me in time.
During this same period I suffered a local wog that was going around, and spend over a day on the dunny, both ends, but not quite at the same time, lucky for the cleaner So, now I wait for Monday arvo my time, and the first supposed delivery time of a part, which may allow me to keep moving.
I have become a bit blase and lazy during this time, and as I have a Kindle and love reading, plus had no bike, I did bugger all
I should start moving again in about 2 days, around the 13th, and I hope to be home maybe late January, after the HU meeting in Chiang Mai, Thailand which is on 11th Jan, 2013
Cheers

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
