Texas to Yucatan - June '03
Any physically-fit men (sorry, ladies, one's enough for me) on Dual-Purpose bikes interested in a couple of weeks on randonee around the Yucatan (& maybe Belize) in mid to late June this summer?
Total time would probably be three-four weeks & the requisite goofing off in between. Am interested in exploration off the highways on bike and foot as I make my way south along the coast, treading lightly of course. Will spend time running, fast-hiking and open-water swimming as well. Am self-contained w/ camping equipment but will hostel on occasion to "live it up". Will eat out once a day probably & prepare the others.
I'm 34, married w/ kids, responsible, drug-free, organized and not "in search of myself". I won't be in a rush but I will be on the "National Geographic" itinerary & agenda (travel purposely, have fun & pursue learning experiences). Fluent in Spanish.
Thanks for the consideration.
