Texas to Ushuaia late Sept. 2013
Leaving to Ushuaia from Brownsville Texas late September on a 2009 BMW Adveturer. Will take a month rushing through Mexico and enjoying Central America. Plan is to get to Panama on Oct. 25 and cross the Gap on the Stahlratte.
After landing in Colombia, enjoy Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina. I have alloted 80 days from Cartagena to Buenos Aires.
Anyone interested in joining me for the trip or part of it please let me know. There is strenth in numbers.

Hello,
I'm planning to quit Montreal in september. As you I would like to cross the Darien Gap with the Stahlratte.
It could be nice to travel with until Panama and maybe to Lima where I'll meet my wife for three months to go to Tierra Del Fuego.
Usually I'm more a lonely guy but it could be nice to have buddy to cross central america.....

Call me anytime, will be glad to talk to you. I am a 52 year old attorney in Brownsville Texas. Easy going, witty and a true adventurer at heart.
Marcos, it would be a pleasure to ride with you and hear about your adventures in the Middle East.
Troy, I have read about your adventures and have vicariously done the trip through your posts.

Heading to Santiago
Ruben,
I'll be departing San Antonio on the 9th of September heading to Santiago. It looks like our routing is very similar. I'm linking up with a friend in Cartagena on 1 October, so I'm a bit rushed getting through Mexico and Central America.
I'd like to compare notes with you if you're interested. I've been debating on whether to ship by air out of Panama or by surface vessel.
Email mikemansell@charter.net or 828-261-6094.
