Traveling up West Coast of CANADA to ALASKA? Anyone out there???

Hi all,

Im new to this site, can't believe it's taken me this long to get on here. Ive just began a trip from Vancouver to Alaska and beyond maybe. Im heading to vancouver island in a few days and then back up to northern BC...i think,,,but very flexible as i have lots of time and i have a small engine (250cc) so covering big distances is not the aim.

Just seeing if anyone is out there and maybe we could hook up at some point for a few days. Im doing his solo and to be honest id really like some company. Im 26 female from Britain. Easy going and chatty. Like to camp wild and enjoy nature...BC is awsome for that, someone who likes to hike and just chill in the trees.

Im on a shoe-string budget so if you are too and think a campfire is better with at least two ppl around it then please get in touch.

Alaska... Western Canada Ushuaia

Hy

I' am currently in Anchorage, and will probably leave on the 31th.. downward south. I'am a 27 year old swiss, on a ktm LC4 620 adventure (also not the fastest, but furthermore not the most comfortable bike, so i am not doing more than 300 miles a day) I see you are on the other side of the road, but maybe we can meet somewhere for camping...

Have good ride

YoYo

My Brother is heading up to alaska in June sometime he's on a 650 but hes pretty easy breezy. If you want I can get his contacts for you. If you are heading to Bella Coola it is amazing and some really beautiful trails to ride. They will take you all the way up to Glaciers. There is a ferry from the north of Vancouver Island to Bella Coola but I believe its expensive.

I hope you have a great trip

My home is Vancouver but my girlfriend and I are riding around the world on 2 xt 250's. So we are out of the picture. Heres our website.

Message for MURPH

Sorry for the delay in getting back. I can't send you mail through HUBB because I don't have 5 posts yet. I'll be away from Comox until Jul 15. Feel free to drop by after then. Have fun.

Hostel

Is Cambie a hostel in Vancouver? I don't know the hostels around home but check out Lonely Planet's Thorn Tree forum - usually a good place to check out hostels. You are welcome to visit and check out Comox and all it has to offer. I ride mostly logging roads and some singletrack on my KTM 950 SE - don't worry if you have a smaller bike I enjoy riding at any speeds. Lots of twisty paved roads as well. Keep in touch.

Ken

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
