Uk to Bulgarian Black sea July or Aug 2020
Did this trip last year via Croatia through Albania. Missed much of the good riding in Romania and will cross from there again as per my trip two years ago to Kazakhstan.
Will use a KTM 1190R so as to go off road when finding refreshing lakes to bathe and camp. Will use B&B or small hotels when weather dictates, but not often. The tour will be over 4 weeks resting at some locations of interest for a few days. Hope to explore the best routes through Romania and Slovakia as well as other places of interest for others whom wish to join the ride.
Wishing also to find more off the beat and track routes which may involve rough tracks but have no plans to do anything heavy going when fully kitted up with panniers on such a tall bike. Am 60 and still fit, Ex forces, do all my own rebuilds and maintenance. would prefer to ride in a pair or small group in order to share appreciation of company.
Plans not in stone, lets arrange something if you fancy a 5000 mile round trip.

Hi Turby
All being well my wife and I are planning a trip to Bulgaria, dip our toes in the Black Sea and then on to Greece.
We plan to go down through Croatia, into Montenegro and onto Bulgaria then Greece.
We will go in July for 3/4 weeks - we will definitely stay at Motocamp Bulgaria - maybe see you there or on the road.

Hi Turby
i am also heading for Bulgaria via Romania and returning through Albania / Croatia etc.. around the same time next year, hoping to stay at motocamp Bulgaria and take a trip up to Buzludzha whilst there. I ride a Triumph 800xc and also prefer camping unless the weather is feeling unkind.

How did you get on organising your tour, ive just posted a thread for my forthcoming ride down to Split on July 24th/25th as everyone dropped out due to Covid, if your still going and dates are around the same time I could do part of your trip. Cheers , Steve

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
