UK to Mongolia and Back .....
Hi All,
I'm planning a trip to Mongolia and back commencing April 2020.
Route at the moment is:
UK
Netherlands
Germany
Czech Republic
Slovakia
Hungary
Romania
Bulgaria
Turkey
Georgia
Russia
Kazakhstan
Uzbekistan
Tajikistan
Kyrgyzstan
Kazakhstan
Russia
Mongolia
Russia
Estonia
Latvia
Lithuania
Poland
Germany
Netherlands
I'll most likely be riding my CRF250 Rally for the duration of the trip so, I'll mostly be using small country roads through out.
I'll be leaving April 2020 and will have 6 months to complete the trip so plenty of time.
If anyone would like to come along or meet up part way then you'd be most welcome.
I'm a friendly kind of guy, English & French speaking, good on the spanners and can cook too!
More info and social media info on my blog: Trails of the unexpected
Mike.

I'm here in Romania now and will be heading that same direction later next spring. I'll probably be in Greece and Turkey for the winter hahaha getting cold here now hahaha brrrrrrr
Let me know when you get over this way in we can share the trail for a bit! I'm on a X-Challenge 650 that I brought over from the states. I ride slow and take the dirt or back roads whenever possible
My Instagram is @natethenomadallen of you want to stay in touch. I don't get on here much hahaha
Ride safe and stay warm!

Hi,
I've just linked up with you on Instagram
I'm all for riding trails and backroads, will be avoiding main roads as much as possible throughout the trip.
Keep in touch and hope we can meet up.
Mike.

Hi,
Sounds like we will pass each other at some point as you are riding the same route but in reverse?
Let me know your social media accounts and we'll link up to stay in touch.

HI,
Yes there were two of us originally but now just me.
The trip was originally me on my own, then became two and is now back to just me again .... not a problem as all my original planning was for just me anyway.
Glad you like the website, there's more to go on when I get the time ... doing the suspension at the moment.
Keep in touch.
Mike.

Great Post
hey Mike really enjoyed your informative, direct website link, and changes to the CRF spot-on. I am traveling basically the same route, same bike but a bit of a cheat (i have a 7 year old daughter with me) so the bike on the back of my camper-Defender, see attached pic. I am quite familiar with the route, but with my daughter i am a bit worried about any over run into Turkey and I have good friends in Iran (traveled there last year) and with UK reg vehicle i am a bit afraid. So i will go north from Salzburg via Czech, Poland, Denmark, ferry to Iceland (only east coast), return to Denmark and North via Norway to enter Russia at Murmansk. South via Kazakhstan to Tibet. I am over in the Uk for a month from end of Jan to end of Feb so if you make any changes to the route or meet up somewhere on the road would be great. over to you, ciao dean
