Geoff,I am staying at the Casa Mateo in Jinotepe right now.I plan on leaving for Costa Rica on Monday morning.I would like to meet up with you in Costa Rica or Panama.I am waiting for a e-mail from my buddy Mike.He is stuck in Guatemala waiting for copies of paperwork for his bike that were ripped off in Antigua. We hope to meet up again and cross the gap together. If we have 3 or 4 bikes it may be easier to find a sail boat to take us across in a timely manner? How were you planning on getting to Columbia?Keep me updated and we may do this together?

On my way south
Hi all,
I'm further North than you all are, but hope to cross into Mexico near Yuma this week, head down Baja and ferry across to mainland, then make Guatemala. I'm not in any hurry so probably you will all be long gone before I reach Panama, but you never know, and there will no doubt be others following too.
I'll be to late to make Argentina this year so maybe catch you in Peru or Ecudor if you decide to return the way you came.
Anyway think of us following, don't drink all the and don't leave all the women crying!!!

I'm in San Rafael, ARG for a few more days and then to Santiago, CHI for some parts. I'm thinking about doing the same thing as you though. Viedma then TDF for Christmas. Problem is that I wanted to go down the west coast (Ruta 40) and back north to BsAs on the east (Ruta 3). Would be nice to ride with someone on Ruta 40 though. Let me know if you're interested.
Cheers

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
