Zahedan to Quetta Team
Hi,
We're in Iran at the moment travelling by bike and we'll be crossing the Iran-Pakistan border around 10th of august. Is there anyone who would like to join us on the way from Zahedan to Quetta to make it safer?
Thanks
Tom and Ebru

Im planning to go that route a couple of months later than you. Looking at the news right now makes me hope, that the brown stuff isnt about to hit the fan, as it looks to do now... of course the situation can, and hopefully will, calm down after a while. Still would be interesting to hear, how your visit to that country will turn out to be. Would you mind posting a report over here, or do you have some blog or website?

Floods in Baluchistan
Baluchistan has been hit by severe rains/ floods recently. Many roads are damaged/washed away. When choosing a route, plz enquire at the border once you enter Pakistan.
Have a safe journey.

Out of Pakistan
Hi All,
We've reached Amritsar couple of days ago. We've passed whole Pakistan in 10 days with constant police patrol. Until Quetta, some parts of the road were indeed broken and the sand storms made it even more difficult. It's really not fun to travel all the time followed by a police jeep ( even when stopping for toilet). We decided not to go to Karakoram highway for this reason and we hope to enjoy Ladakh.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
