A good Travel Ins quote?
Just been on the phone to Insure-and-Go. Got a £60 Bronze Backpacker quote online and rang them up for a >50cc motorcycle loading... an extra £20 for 4 months in Europe for a 41 year-old. Does this seem ok, anyone?

In 2006 I took out an 'insure and go' policy for a trip to Senegal and the Gambia, the cost was about £70 plus just under £3 per day for motorcycling, this was for repatriation etc incase of me going 'tits up', if I was to be away any longer than the duration I paid for the motorcycle cover they said I could extend the cover by phone, and if I returned early they would 'credit' me for the unused days. When I returned 4 days early I was on the phone to them with an enquiry (not a claim) I mentioned the 4 days credit, they never seemed too bothered and said "just remind us on your next trip" they never asked about any proof or anything, such a laid back attitude, on a trip by air to Spain my dim shite brother accidently left my rucksack containing my digi camera on a luggage trolly is Spain, after a frantic call home, my wife said she thought my 'insure and go' policy was still valid, and indeed was 3 days short of expiry, she phoned them and almost immediately they sent out a claim form for when I returned home, fortunatly the car hire firm at the airport retreived my rucksack intact. I know I have gone abit
but you never know how good an insurance policy is until you have the mishap and require a claim, perhaps someone could post how their insurance company handled their mishap. I would either re insure with 'insure and go' or perhaps 'Carole Nash' who quoted me a much cheaper price, and CN have very good reputation for recovering your sick machine whilst in Europe.
Perhaps someone can

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
