Active registration of the bike necessary?
A question. I am shipping a Canadian-owned motorcycle from Montreal to Cairo to ride down to Cape Town. I have the current registration which expires in two days. This is my proof of ownership AND registration in Quebec (i.e., it shows that I own the bike and that it can be legally driven in Quebec). However, I don't want to pay the cost to reinsure the bike in Canada and to register it in Quebec, as I am not going to ride it before shipping.
So, can I ride the bike in Cairo using the current registration as proof of ownership, provided I also have a carnet?
