Azerbaijan Consulate in Tehran
A bit of info on the Azerbaijan embassy & consulate in Tehran.
In order to apply for an Azerbaijan visa you need to visit the consulate not the embassy - they are within walking distance of each other but the consulate can be a bit tricky to find. All websites seem to list the embassy address only, which is home to a very grumpy lady who tells you to read the sign outside (in Farsi) for the address of the consulate. Thankfully we found a very helpful Polish diplomat to decipher it for us..

We were given an application form and a slip of paper to take to a specific bank to pay our fee ($101 each for UK). We ended up jumping in a taxi and getting him to wait while we paid the fee and got our receipt. Once this is done and the forms are filled, be prepared to do battle back at the consulate to keep your place in the "almost queue" that tries to exist.
