Do not plan on getting an extension on your 7 day transit visa as you used to be able to do quite easily. This has all changed and without a VERY REAL medical problem it is almost impossible. Having said that...we got a 3 week extension...but only because I came off my bike and have a cracked wrist bone that was put into plaster at the hospital in Kerman and can not ride my bike. They also extended Davids visa as we travel together and they told us that it was a once off thing that they did so, as it is now illegial to extend a transit visa. You have no idea the bull we had to go through to get the extension, even though the Kermit green cast clashes so loudly with my black chardor!
