experience of ebikes insurancy policy?

Hi Guys

Anyone had experience of ebikes insurance policy that covers you fully comp for all of Europe for the whole year. I found the details on a previous thread in HU and when online to get a quote which came back at 97 quid. This seems very cheap, anyone got one of these policies or submitted a claim under one? have I got the wrong end of the stick as I cannot see any sort of restrictions.

Cheers - Greg

I've been using them for a while now. I've got 4 bikes on one policy for myself and wife and a separate policy for our daughter. I can't say our daughter's is particularly cheap but ours is. I haven't had to make a claim yet, but I see they are now recommended by MAG. I met some of their representatives at the BMF show earlier this year and they do seem committed to providing a good service and revolutionising the bike insurance industry. The unlimited European travel is definitely a worthwhile bonus.

I am currently with eBike. My only gripe was a £50 charge following a second speeding penalty - not on a bike.

I have not made any claims, so have no measure of that.

Renewal is due in October so I'll wait and see.

Thanks for the info guys and thanks for the link Simon, I waded through it and cannot see any problems with ebike over any other insurance company. The European cover has sold it for me, I know where my pennies will be going at renewal time. – Cheers - Greg

i moved to ebike two years ago. no claims yet but they are very cheap. I have two bikes insured for a £100 less than i was paying for one in the past. London address no garage etc and still very good deal.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
