Pakistan consulate in Istanbul
Where is it? I know it is here because I have spoken to them and got the address but I cant find it on a map.
The address I have is:
Abide-i-Hurriyet Cad
Gecit Sok No 11 Kat 6
Hacionbasilar Is Hani
80270 Sisli, Istanbul
If anyone has been there please can you give me a screen dump of a map showing where it is or just some general information maybe a website address? I have been to the british consulate and they cant help. I am starting to think this is some kind of conspiracy against me!
Also has anyone applied for a pakistan visa from turkey? When I spoke on the phone they said it would not be possible to get one unless I am a resident or working in turkey but the british consulate says they have given them in the past.
Thanks
Oliver

Olive,
How did you go getting your Pakistan visa. I eventually found the place only to be told that I have to get it in Iran.

No luck in Turkey. Istanbul or Ankara.
Hey,
I tried a only a few weeks ago in Istanbul and Ankara and was unsuccessful.
Even with a LOI from the UK embassy. (not the best fifty pounds I've spent)
In Istanbul they said to go to Ankara.
In Ankara they told me to go London.
The would not even discuss the matter.
I flew back to London, and got the visa in two hours.
I wish you the very very best, my friend.

I rode on to Tehran and got my visa in 4 days- easy as!!
Tehran has he most amazing traffic- all the road users seem to be on a suicide mission. Makes Pakistan and Indian drivers seem almost respectable.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
