Validity of Intl Drivers License part of Visa???
My partner and I are currently based in Ghana. Our job is finished sooner than we had anticipated. Originally we had planned to ride our bikes from Ghana to Ireland at the end of June. We are now leaving in about 4-5 weeks.
Our planned route is Ghana - Cote d'Ivoir - Guinea - Senegal - Mauritania - Western Sahara - Morocco
We both hold Ghanaian drivers licenses (as well as European, but the Intl. License is expired). We don't have Intl. licenses for our Ghanaian licenses.
I've come across this information apparently valid for Cote d'Ivoir which makes me wonder:
"A local driving license is only required if you are a resident, if not you are required to hold an International driving license. Its validity date must be included in the validity of the visa."
Is this true? Has anyone travelled thru the forementioned countries - Cote d'Ivoir in particular - and can confirm the validity date will be included in the visa information?
Cheers
Steph
