Hello at4ever.
This topic was thoroughly covered last year, so I can speak pretty definitively on this topic re ferries from Europe to Egypt.
Your choices are slim. From April 26 through Oct. 31, Salamis Lines runs a ferry from Greece which stops at Port Said. See details on http://www.ferries.gr/salamis/
If that's too early for your trip, though, that same ferry does run to Haifa in Israel year-round.
See a couple of posts on this subject: http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb...ML/000098.html http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/ubb...ML/000140.html
There is a ferry from Aswan in Egypt to Wadi Haifa, Sudan. I haven't heard of one from Port Said to Djibouti.
I must tell you that based on ours and others experiences, taking a vehicle into Egypt is a major hassle, only exceeded by the hassle to take the same vehicle OUT of Egypt! You'd have to really want to spend a lot of time in Egypt to make it wortwhile.
If it's North Africa you're interested in, I'd go for Tunisia and Libya, possibly Morocco, and give Egypt a pass. You can certainly get a ferry from Italy to Tunisia. See http://www.fun.informare.it/ferry/tunisuk.asp

Good luck and safe travels!
