Freight Logistics corp. Sdn. Bhd Kuala Lumpur
Hey guys, has anyone got any recent information on the FLC shipping company in KL? I have read alot of good things here but no really upto date information and all the contact numbers seem to be out of order.
Are they still in business and has anyone used them recently?
Cheers,
Ol

Hi Hornet,
You might want to try this as an alternative:
Alvin Chan at Wilhelmsen Ships Service here in KL
Tel is 60 3 2092 6600
We have been sorting out our shipping to Buenos Aires with him the past few days (in fact, we were in his office this morning). Rates are competitive and he is a pleasure to deal with. Will answer any question you have and seek out correct answers if he isn't sure about something.
Cheers

Cheers guys. I will check them out. Will give him a call tomorrow. How long are you in KL for. Always good to meet fellow travellers if you're up for a drink.
Cant wait to get this transport lark sorted. You know how it is, getting used to having no schedule but your own and then actually having to be organised for something

ouch
How much did you guys get quoted to BA? Seems pretty expensive to me, $450 more than shipping from Bangkok to Canada. Not worth checking flights, that will be crazy expensive but now I realise my budget is dead in the water. I need a lottery win and soon!
Ich!

Hi guys,
We are in Melaka and staying put until after the holidays. What are your plans and where are you, Brian?
Our Malaysian biker friends warned us not to travel this long weekend, there won't be any accommodation.
Can any of you recommend an insurance co.?
Maybe we can meet some time soonish?
Cheers,
Peter & Su.

Hi Hornet and Beddhist,
Shortly after our last post we got the last details together for our shipping and ended up going to Singapore to meet up with friends. Would have been nice to meet up (who knows, if you end up in Singapore let us know!).
For insurance, we went with pafinsurance (dot) com
I do not know much about them but the insurance amounted to 122USD for 9000$ worth of coverage. Worth taking a look.
Good luck

Hi guys,
Sad to miss you so closely. We are in Seremban, trying to decide where to go next. Just had the news that Su's visa for NZ has been approved after all, so we are having a major change of plans. We now need to think about shiping to NZ from Port Klang.
Ol: where are you staying and how far have you gotten with shipping?
Brian and Marie: Can you recommend a place to stay with the bikes in KL or PK?
We have shipped to Singapore and wouldn't recommend doing that normally, but you are obviously going by public transport, so it's easy.
Cheers,
Peter & Su.

Ol, I just called them on the first number listed in the shipping pages and yes, they are still there and the contact, Mike Murugan is also still with them.
FCL House
No37, Jalan Selat Selatan 17,
Portland Industrial Area,
42000 Port Klang,
Selangor D.E
Malaysia
Tel: 603 3165 5999
603 3168 2780
Mobile: 012 297 9777
However, the name is FCL and not FLC. Are they the same co. you are writing about?
Also, the phone numbers are badly formatted: they include the country code without indicating it. On your mobile phone either put a '+' in front of it, or dial 03...
I'm about to email them.
Cheers,
Peter.

Oops, I just realised that there are two with very similar names:
index
I suspect you are referring to the above. I just called them: number disconnected, domain name not found, Geocities will be closing down soon, so yes, they are gone.
