unless you have 6+ bikes, cheaper to do LCL- less than container load

I'm looking to get my bike from UK to South America from around November/December time.

I've heard that Argentina ask for a carnet when handling bikes arriving by boat. I won't have one so I'll need to avoid that.

Shipping 2 motorbikes from Europe to South America - share the container November2013

Hi bikers!

We plan on going to South America trip for 3 months. As the motorbikes are really expensive there (both buying and renting) we decided to ship them. Has anyone the same plan? We would like to share the container so it would be much cheaper!

Please contact me and I hope we will manage to help each other.

Ciao,

Kasia

I'm planning to send my motorcycle (Trail 650cc) to South America during October as well. For now, I consider sending it from Hamburg (GERMANY) to Valparaiso (CHILE) for approx 650EUR+200USD+ Price of a crate.
What do you have ?
I don't care about the destination, just looking for something cheap.
What about you ?
Cheers
Alex

Chile December - February -3 months!

Hi!

I thought that shipment procedures are not so complicated - however it is. My Argentinian friend told me NOT to send bikes to Argentina as bureaucracy and procedures will kill my patience and will spoil my trip. Therefore I think that the best option would be to transfer the motorbikes to Chile! The cheapest way is the full container

Anyone want to join me with the shipment to Chile???!!

Please write me an e-mail if you are interested: kdpj7@tlen.pl

mee too

hi there,

south america is beautiful and I want to convince myself. currently I am gathering information for the trip and november it would be for me the perfect time to start the trip. I am looking for a cheaper way to send my bike but also the time of deliverable is important. how long does it take to deliver a bike with a container like you wanted to do ? have you an offer regarding sending the bike by air ? (price & time)

As pricing, Alexegg provided the necessary data.

Thank you
