Hello Olaf,
I'm looking for a transport solution from Brussels/Belgium to the north of Spain/ biarritz - sout of France (Saint Sebastian). The vehicle is a WR250R (enduro bike +/- 130kg with arround 20 kg gear). I can deliver the bike in Belgium (anywhere) but whould need to pick it up somewhere between above mentioned cities.
I'm crossing fingers to have a short two weeks trip started arround end of May/beginning of June once this COVID-19 pandemia will start to clear out a bit.
Does your company also provide this type of "short distance" services?
Regards,

If Olaf can't help you, then try your local office of DSV - or another pan-European trucking company, but I know our local DSV office knows how to handle bikes.
Basically you just need to rent a bike transport frame. Then that can be loaded like a pallet into a truck, and delivered to a cargo terminal in a location you want. Within the EU it's very easy. From Estonia to North Italy by DSV was something like ~250 euros one way.
It's cheaper if you ship two bikes at once, since the frames can stack on top of each other, and they only take up one frame's worth of "floor space" in a trailer.

Best regards

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
