Sharing a container from Germany to South America
I am shipping my bike from the port of Hamburg, Germany to South America.
I most likely ship to Valparaiso, Chile because it is way cheaper than B. A., but can be a possibility if others are interested.
If you want to start around end of march to 1st of april - send me your details. Shipping sould then be done in the second half of feburary.
Shipping agency would be CLS (Hamburg-Süd).

Hi,
I might be interested to join you in the container. Where do you plan to go from there; How and when do you plan to go back - the same route Valparaiso - Hamburg? Cheers

I won't be going back to Europe.
I will end my latin america tour in ecuador and fly (or ship) from there to the united states to continue my tour with the final destiantion vancouver, canada.
Therefore the shipping will be oneway.

Hi Marius,
I cannot join you with your container, but maybe you can help me as i am planning on going to chile/peru in july or august.
Can you tell me how much you are going to pay for the container? Do you use one of your own (and try to fill it here ) ), or did you just rent some space in it?
It would help me a lot convincing my wife if i could present some numbers...
In 2007 a had some space in a HamburgSüd Container from Buenos Aires to Hamburg which cost about 880 EUR, but i've heard that Chile is somehow cheaper. Any help appreciated

The Hamburg-Süd / CLS prices are now very high, the shipping is now (regarding that the port fees are about 800,00 US$ in B. A,) at about 1.800 €!!
I am going to ship my bike in a crate made out of the two "Euro-Paletten" (2x 1200 mm x 1000 mm = 2400 mm x 1000 mm, height about 1300 mmm)

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
