We have been planning/hopeing to ride to Peru for the last year and a half BUT when we exited Mexico in 2003 we neglected to get our tvip (temporary vehicle importation permits ) cleared at the border and now we cant bring another vehicle into Mexico, we have been in contact with aduano and the Mexican officials but nothing is working, the bikes have been sold or wrecked so we can't take them down to show we didn' sell them or leave them in Mexico so now we are wondering if anyone has shipped their bikes to SA from the west coast as this seems an option and we just by-pass central america.
