Shipping the bike from Iran to Oman and from Yemen to Germany
Hi FOlks,
does anybody have information about shipping the bike from Iran to the Oman and later from Oman or Yemen to Italy or Germany. We thnk about different trip plannings in 2015.
Thanks for each experience or information you can share.

No actual experience to answer your questions (I did once ride through Iran, though)... but there should be a ferry from Bandar Abbas to the other side of the Persian Gulf (UAE, maybe?)
Oman to Yemen - that part does sound more than a bit dodgy. I believe it used to be do-able, but I would personally not do it right now.

Looking for the same thing, somewhere around Oman to Belgium.
I know for sure that you can send the bike through sea transport to anywhere from Dubai. Going back from Oman to Dubai is only a matter of days depending on where you are and entry to UAE is straightforward as I've been told.
There's a ferry from Bandar Abbas indeed, should be some hassle to get it done, but we're going to do the same later this year...
We're also looking at what option from where would be the best, problem is that we will continue our travels from there but not on the bike so sea transport is for us not a really good option as then the bike will be 'stuck' somewhere in EU before we can pick it up 6 months later...

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
