Shipping from the west coast of America to Russia/South Korea

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a shipping company who can get a bike from America to somewhere in SE Asia. I'm not too fussed whether that's South Korea, Russia or somewhere else, as long as it avoids the use of a carnet and I can ride a bike bigger than 250cc there.

If you have any past experience and can list prices, that'd be a great help too. I've tried the search engine and the shipping page above already and whilst that's been helpful, I'd like to put this question out and hopefully someone can help!

Thanks a lot!

Depends on your timing. I shipped my bike with LEI in Vancouver,Canada by air to Incheon for $1700 last May. Had it crated by Pacific Motorsports for $350.

But as SeoulJoe says, it's a lot cheaper by RoRo. If a couple weeks is no problem, save your self some money. And trust me,SeoulJoe has more knowledge about this stuff than you will find anywhere else.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
