Transporting bike over to Darwin

Good evening
I am travelling from the Uk to Melbourne in or around May 2020 by Motorbike.
I would need to get the bike transported into Darwin.
I will be travelling to Bangkok and was thinking of going from there to Singapore.
I would be grateful if anyone could help in providing some help and advice on how and where I could have the bike shifted to Darwin, I am aware that I would probably have to fly to Darwin myself to get back on the bike.
Thanks

What I do know is that the bike will have to be absolutely clean when it arrives in Aussi as they are very concerned about bio security.

It might be easier and cheaperto get the bike shipped to Sydney.

Aussi bereaucrat s can be a PIA

Singapore is attractive for shipping. But unattractive for riding the motorcycle into/out of due to costs!
Might be better out of Thailand.
Once you decide where your shipping from then ask your shipper where is cheapest to ship too - they will know.

https://www.anl.com.au/products-serv...s/flyer/PAXANL - there ya go. Look under Shipping Agents - those are the people that will arrange the paperwork and take delivery of the bike. (Other shipping companies are probably available.)

Transporting a bike

Unless you want to tour the north I would avoid Darwin. We had trouble trying to find an agent when we wanted to leave Australia. Suggest you contact a guy called Ivan at Bikes Abroad. ivan@bikesabroad.au. I used him and he is brilliant. Organises everything through BMW dealers in Perth and Brisbane, so you could arrive at one end and leave at the other.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
