6'4" & Tiger 800XC
Hi all,
I'm thinking about getting a 800XC, and have had a look at one, etc. and so far so good. I was wondering if anyone around my height (6'4") could give some feedback on how the bike feels over longer trips? i.e. whether there's enough room, you don't feel cramped, etc.
Thanks

I had the roadie and it is so far the best bike ive owned for the road.
Im 6ft1 and found it to have plenty of space. I did fit rox risers and remove the foot peg rubbers as well, mainly because i could.

6ft 4 and ride 800xc
Hi,
I'm 6ft 4 and I ride one. Its fine, find it comfortable. Can feel a bit small but still okay. Don't have any problems cramping up, etc that I get on other bikes. Really good bike, I'd definitely recommend getting one.
Cheers Tobias

Gents,
I am 6'4" and am a sprite 225lbs... That was hard to type! I have had the 800XC for 3 years now and I have had zero issues with the ride comfort and body position. I ensure the adjustable seat is in the highest position. I tried lowing it one time just for grins and it was WAY cramped!
The other thing is I added an "Airhawk" seat cushion to my rig for comfort purposes. I found at my weight the stock seat was no good after a few hours in the saddle...
I have also added 1.5" risers to help with standing out of the saddle. That being said, I am going to buy the 2" risers next. I'm still just a little awkward when standing. Triumph does an exceptional job organizing all the wires on the bike. The problem is when you go to install the risers you are going to have to ensure you maintain proper steering control etc.
Final point and I will end my ramble...! I have absolutely been amazed by this bike! Fully loaded in the Rockies and cruising on the highway it has always had sufficient power for those of us in the Sasquatch category. You will not regret the 800XC if you go that route...

Thanks everyone - that's very reassuring, I've cramped on various bikes in the past and had to pull over to unwind myself, as it were. I've got an Airhawk seat myself, so hopefully that'll help too.
Those extended footpegs look very interesting Gipper, I'll definitely look at them a bit more.
Thanks for all the feedback.

I bought a used 800XC in Feb and have covered about 11000 miles so far throughout the US, excellent choice of travel bike for extended use 2 up.
I'm 6'2" and about 80kg, hope that helps you
Glen

I'm SixFour too and around 90kg, cracking bike but after 14hrs in the saddle its horrifically uncomfortable due to the shape of the sea. Done 1000mile trip on it doing event support with tools, track pump, full luggage and tank bag. Bit top heavy when fully gassed but didn't miss a beat all trip - from chugging along at 5mph to triple digit 'making progress'
