update 5-08:
around 60 sets out now since last Nov,
3 in Australia, 1 on Kauai. 1 in Finland, 1 in Athens Greece, and the rest in the continental US.
here's a sample of the feedback (I have pages of superlatives...it's embarassing after a while). the ongoing dialogue and feedback is primarily on the rat site, but I know you HU folks would benefit. time is always the true test.
I have received the lowering brackets and installed them tonight. They are awesome!
They really make a world of difference in the comfort of the ride.
Especially if you are tall, have a long inseam and your girth around the middle makes it
a little more uncomfortable to ride in a more "folded up" riding position.
I am actually riding today and can't believe how much more comfortable it is.

Mounted the ModrePegs on my Bonnie yesterday.
The 2" lower position makes quite a difference!
If you're looking for a little more leg room, this is the "dog's bollocks."
Absolutely no clearance issues.
Riding impression: outstanding! I've very happy with this mod.

I just received and installed a set of Modre's extensions and they are great, thank you Modre.
I am only 5'9" with a 29" inseam, but after severing 3 right knee ligaments
and now waiting for a left total hip replacement, these extensions remove a pain factor
I have been riding with since I got my 2003 Bonnie 6 months ago.
The extensions do not change the riding characteristics, but provide an amazing difference in comfort for me.
I gave the bike a spirited run through Bouquet Canyon after installation
and finally got the pegs to drag, but only at an angle that I would not normally exceed by choice.
If I wanted a knee-dragger, I would have bought one.
The installation was easy enough, good directions & photographs, taking my time it took about 1 hour.
Thanks again to Modre,
Bob 006
Now that I've got the Modrepegs, I like the new position so much that my Hyde rearsets are in the classifieds...
Thanks, Modre!

Got them on yesterday. The installation was easy, your directions were excellent.
I wanted the brake lever a bit lower than what most people probably will so I took a bit off the lever itself along with the bracket.
There's plenty of meat there so I'm not concerned. I shortened the rod connecting the lever to the master cylinder by about 1/4" too.
First impression was wow what a difference ! It is so much more comfortable.
They are well made, look like they came with the bike.
Good job !

I got Modre's peg lowering kit today. It is installed and so far I really like it.
I don't think that I would ever corner aggressively enough for it to be a problem. It is a VERY well made kit.
I could do another bike very quickly having done this once. I only rode a couple of miles, and haven't ridden it since my final adjustments, but it is MUCH more comfortable. I am 6'1" with long legs and a 32" inseam.
I think this is going to be the best bang for the buck of all modifications. Great stuff.
Best modrefication so far.

I rec'd the brackets in good time and installed them Saturday.
I had a chance to ride a couple hundred miles Sunday and my first impression is a good one.
Thanks for the time and effort.

Super workmanship. The quality of the brackets is really professional.

First day it hasn’t been to horrible to ride so I got 30 miles on the brackets
on one of my quickie mountain runs. They’re perfect! Exactly where I wanted my feet and
legs to go and I took some pretty tight turns and big sweepers and no clearance issues.
Well done, sir, well done!

I got one of your peg lowering sets a couple of months back and I really like them.
I always used to have to unfold my legs for a while after along rides.
Now those days are gone. I thought the workmanship was superb,

I rarely visit here, but it's available, it's good, and I'm at
modre@verizon.net if interested. I also make little mc stow jacks for serious travel...saves the one legged hump while trying to kick the block under the frame to change a front tire.
