Hi Lucky,
I too live in Germany and have also a Triumph Tiger albeit a 800XC. I shall be going to the Northkapp in July with it but would also love to do the trip that you just made, super. As to the XC being to high ive lowered ir by 3cm and its now a super fit for me I can place both feet on the ground now. The XC can do all that the road version can do and more thats why I chose it.
Cheers
Eddie
Black Beast, Go for the XC I think that you would be better off with it than the normal 800, this is however only my oppinion.

So what is the overall rider experience with this Tiger??
There have been a few threads about this bike, the road-going version and the XC, over the past 3 years or so.
I would appreciate a summary of rider experience, perhaps on the lines of my post number 6 in this thread (which covers the points that are of main interest/importance to me):-

Such feedback might convince me to give a Tiger a home.

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
