Community Meetings ???
I have been to a couple of HU Meetings in Australia but has anybody ever organised a HU Community Meeting?
There could even be several state or city community meetings before the annual national ones? I organise weekend small group local rides all the time, some with long time friends and others with friends from HU.
It might further the mutual passion we all hold for travel on two wheels. Maybe I am missing something that has already been done?
Let me know what you reckon Grant

It's most certainly been done, many times on every continent!
It IS up to the local Communities to call it - someone just has to get the ball rolling by suggesting a date and location to the local Community, and off you go. You can keep it local by emailing to the Community, or open it up by posting on the HUBB in the Horizons Unlimited subsection of the HUBB, in the appropriate "Meetings" forum.
Go for it, it's always a good time!

Great plan. I put out an email for my community. Two replies out of 8 but it's only been 12 hours.

Good evening to you guys down under .
If you dont mind a POM joining your community out there i'd be glad of a meeting in Oz, im in the early stages of the emigration process at the moment an it would be nice to get out there an tour the continent before settling down and finding work, trouble is i been out of the mechanics lark here in blighty for to long so im just getting back into it.
Hope to be out there in 9 to 12 mnths.

Have emailed the Brisbane HU Community, I will see what response I get from there then open it up in the HUBB Meeting section as suggested.

New to Horizons Unlimited?

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
