AnTyx from Estonia
Hi everyone!
I heard about this site through listening to the Adventure Rider Radio podcast, and figured I'd sign up - even though I'm a strictly on-road biker so far!
I'm a keen traveler and have been to five continents (except Africa, because I want to do something more interesting than just a basic Sharm-el-Sheikh package holiday!), but my moto adventures have only been around the Baltics and Scandinavia so far. I have been riding for about four years, and in my first solo season I took my K9 Gladius up to Nordkapp; since then I've also done the Trollstigen/Atlantic Road loop and the Lofoten Islands, the latter on my '02 Honda VFR. But I have big plans for this summer!
What else... Last summer I started volunteering with my old riding school's moto marshal team to do security at triathlon/bicycle race events, and I'm also a mod of /r/motorcycles, though I'm not sure if that will get me positive or negative points here.
Oh, and bike tax:
I live in Tartu, Estonia (about mid way between Tallinn, Riga and St. Petersburg), so let me know if you're in the area and I'll show you the best roads and the best pubs!

Oh yes, I should mention: I am fluent in Russian and a professional translator, so if you need help making sense of a shipping agent in Vladivostok or something like that, let me know.

Welcome to the HUBB AnTyx.
The most astonishingly brilliant ‘on-the-road’ global ride reports I’ve ever read was put together by a pair of your compatriots, Margus & Kariina.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
