Hi all,

I'm mike, Ive been lurking around stealing peoples knowledge on this site for a while and as its getting closer to departing on my trip i thought id actually join up and say hello.

A brief overview of the trip is ride from the UK to Singapore, decide on route what i want to do after that...

I have sold all i own, house, belongings (except mountain bike, that would be a crime, it can wait with friends) and im just going to set off and see what happens.

Just to avoid the 'you need to plan some of it' comments, i have obviously looked into all countries that are on the rough route and the requirements for each, im not just going to rock up at the borders with a smile and ask politely if me and my bike can go on our holidays please .

So, the bike is a CRF250 Rally , small, cheap and does all i need a bike to do, its got some bits and bobs done to it to help me carry stuff, protect me and the bike and know where im going but ive kept it simple.

The aim is to leave end of March / beginning of April, no end date as yet, i will just go until i run out of money or inclination.

Thats it really, not much else to report.
