Hello from a Dutchman in Switzerland
Hi all
First post on the HUBB! I met Susan and Grant yesterday in person at the Touratech event over here. Very nice to see them live and share the passion for travel!
About me:
* Born and raised in the Netherlands. I've lived in Switzerland since 1999.
* Riding since 2001, started with a Suzuki Bandit 600 (84.000km and going strong)
* Added a Ducati ST3s in 2009 (38.000km and going much stronger ;-))
* And finally last month a Yamaha XT660Z Ténéré. Planning to ride for a year starting mid 2016. Transasia "southern route". No final destination, yet Australia or New Zealand would be nice. I'll have plenty of time to get to know the bike and prepare it for the trip.
I hope to be able to give to and gain from this great forum.
Cheers,
Mark V
P.S. For (on-road) riding tips in the Swiss, Italian and French Alps: send me a message.

Aha. So that cool green-blue Honda Dominator was yours :-)
I wish I could join the ride to Donington. Have fun!
See you on the road,

Hi Mark,
We're planning a trip in a few weeks to exact the region you describes; Swiss, North Italian and maybe a little French Alps (around mnt blanc)
All camping with two on one bmw gs.
If you have tips, they are more then welcome
In now and a few years we're also planning a trip to Australia (and further?) via Asia
Tnx,
Arjan

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
