Hello from Jordan
Hi, I live and work in Jordan and am an expat Brit.
I live in Amman am married with three kids all of whom go to school here.
I worked for 30 years in the UK, retired and then was told... "get a job", so I did, one that takes me around the world, giving me the opportunity to do a lot of travelleing, often paid for by others!
I am an experienced Motorcyclist and have travelled extensivley in Europe. Bikes are only just getting a restart here so dealers are few and far between (unless you own a Harley!)
I currently have a Pajero LWB 4 X 4 and enjoy using it to all kinds of great places.
My plan was at some point to drive back to UK for an extended break, but that is on hold now until things settle down in Syria.
I keep a close eye on the situation there and am happy to update as I get information, any questions about Jordan and the area, please let me know, I might be able to help.
currently I am trying to source a decent Roof tent, I really don't like sleeping on the desert floor! so any ideas all gratefully received.
Stay Safe.
Alan L (juno2).

Hello Alan, and welcome!
I had the pleasure to ride my Harley from Italy to Jordan way back in 2008 and I recall a fantastic Country with really good people.
Can't wait to be back there!
Greetings,
Nick

Hi Nick,
Thanks for the comment. Yep, great place with good people.
Doing a longer trip off road in November through the back of Wadi Rum up to the Saudi border and all the way through the wadi's to Aqaba.
Should be a great trip lasting about 4 days and I am really looking forwards to it.
It would be good to see more overlanders coming through Jordan, I think it gets a bit over looked some times and there are some amazing places and routes to see.
Alan L.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
